Advisory Groups
A key part of the consultation and communication process for the BCITO is done via our Advisory Groups.
National Advisory Groups
Are made up of representatives from the various trades the BCITO covers. They meet at least twice a year to discuss the requirements for review of qualifications, resource materials or other relevant training or qualifications issues.
The National Advisory Group objectives include:
- Advising the BCITO on industry requirements for training and the development of standards and maintenance of industry qualifications;
- Providing the best training options for industry employees;
- Making sure industry training requirements are up to date and relevant;
- Providing a voice on skills issues for those trades/sectors covered by the BCITO.
Regional Advisory Groups
Are made up of representatives from the various trades the BCITO covers with a regional focus. They are facilitated by the BCITO regional offices and meet at least twice a year.
