Real Groovy Club offer

BCITO trainees get free membership with your realskills ID card to the Real Groovy Club. Join up and receive a Real Groovy Club Card that accrues a point for every dollar you spend. When you have accrued two hundred points you automatically receive $20 off your purchase! This applies both to online and instore purchases: online, your points balance is shown on a CLUB-O METER that will display once you are logged in; instore, your membership card is scanned and your points balance can be viewed on the point-of-sale terminal.

How to join
You will need to join in-store simply by presenting your realskills ID card at the counter before you make a purchase - and ask for the free Real Groovy Club Card offer. Everything you buy from then on will count towards your bonus.

ANZ Student Package

No monthly account fee
None, nothing at all.

No transaction fees
When you use EFTPOS, cheques or ANZ and National Bank ATMs or make deposits or withdrawals at the branch or when using ANZ Internet Banking or ANZ Phone Direct.

Interest-free overdraft
If you're 18 or over and a New Zealand citizen or resident, you can apply for an interest-free overdraft of up to $2,000 (approximately $5 per month credit facility fee and lending criteria apply).

Student Loan
No, not that student loan. With ANZ, you can borrow anything from $1,000 up to $6,000 at a great interest rate, with flexible repayments over four years. You'll qualify if you're 18 or over, a New Zealand citizen or resident and meet our lending criteria.

Pre-approved Credit Card
If you're 18 or over and a New Zealand citizen or resident, you can have an ANZ Visa Classic or Standard MasterCard. This comes with a $500 limit and the account fee will be waived for the first year.

To get your ANZ Student Package, just bring some photo ID and proof of enrolment (eg: your Realskills ID card) into any ANZ branch. A New Zealand driver licence or passport is fine for ID, or your student ID and a community services card or your bank card from any other New Zealand bank.

NZS 3604:1999

The New Zealand Standards Council has authorised the BCITO to offer NZS 3604:1999 at the greatly reduced price of $196.88 (GST, postage and packaging are included in this price.) The BCITO is also able to offer NZS 3604  Amendment 2 for the reduced price of $84.32 (GST, postage and packaging included).

BCITO Site Safe Apprentice Passport scheme

Up-skill and improve your knowledge of health and safety onsite with the BCITO Site Safe Apprentice Passport programme. The programme involves a four hour training session covering basic health and safety hazards onsite. At the end of the session each trainee receives a Building Construction Passport signifying that they have successfully completed the training and a pocket sized handbook containing helpful health and safety information. BCITO subsides the programme which means BCITO trainees can attend the four hour course for $30 - half the normal cost.
