Leading Hand/Supervisor Qualification Review - Feedback
In the latter part of 2009, BCITO held 14 industry consultation forums around the country to gain input into the review of the National Certificate in Construction (Leading Hand) and (Supervisor).
Representatives included people from the carpentry sector (residential and commercial), specialist trades, polytechnic providers and BCITO Training Advisors. A structured set of questions was asked at each of the consultation forums, and participants were broken into groups and given the opportunity to share their views.
This report will be used as the first step towards reviewing the existing qualifications when the soon-to-be-formed BCITO Supervisors Working Advisory Group meets. As soon as is practicable, we will update you on phase two of the review.
