The team at Motueka High School designed and built a boardwalk / bridge for the Keep Motueka Beautiful charity. The bridge is to be a feature of the Inlet Walkway, which is a regeneration project, designed to take former scrub land back to its native state. The boardwalk will connect the mainland to a small island and allow users to access the island at high tide when it is cut off by the incoming estuary. The team had tremendous local support with extra money and assistance provided by ITM Motueka, The Keep Motueka Beautiful Charity, and the Tasman District Council.
